Q: How much does an au pair earn?

A: Typical monthly salary in the Netherlands is €340, plus room and board. Exact amount discussed before placement.

Q: Do I need to speak Dutch?

A: English fluency is required. Dutch language skills help but aren’t required initially. Many au pairs learn Dutch during their stay.

Q: Is it safe to work as an au pair abroad?

A: Safety is our priority. We screen families thoroughly, provide 24/7 support, provide insurance, and maintain regular contact. You’re protected.

Q: What if the placement doesn’t work out?

A: We support you through difficulties with coaching and mediation. If termination is necessary, we follow proper procedures and assist your return home.

Q: Can I choose my host family?

A: We present potential matches and you can interview families. Final approval is yours.

Q: How many hours will I work?

A: Maximum 45 hours per week, typically including:
